The fashion industry is undergoing rapid change. After three years of disruption from Covid, supply chain chaos and the cost of living crisis, fashion businesses are taking meaningful action to build back better.
Fashion leaders are waking up to the need to become more responsible, inclusive and digitally forward thinking. The Drapers Awards in 2023 recognised those efforts.
Categories such as the Diversity and Inclusion Award celebrated the strides fashion brands and retailers are making towards creating workplaces that foster a sense of belonging for all, and projecting this out to their customers.
Meanwhile, Womenswear and Menswear Brand of the Year, and Retailer of the Year, placed increasing onus on diversity, sustainability and purpose-driven retail.
For 2023 we changed our individual award category to Retail Star of the Year, recognising talent across the industry – irrespective of age or years of service.
