Celebrating future-thinking fashion retail
The fashion industry is undergoing rapid change. After two years of introspection during the Covid-19 pandemic, and following the Black Lives Matter movement, fashion’s leaders are waking up to the need to become more responsible, inclusive and digitally forward thinking.
The industry is getting back to business following the lifting of Covid restrictions across the UK, but many companies are making real attempts to build back better. This year’s Drapers Awards recognise those efforts.
New categories such as the Diversity and Inclusion Award celebrate the strides fashion brands and retailers are making towards creating workplaces that foster a sense of belonging for all, and projecting this out to their customers.
Returning categories such as Womenswear and Menswear Brand of the Year and Retailer of the Year place increasing onus on diversity, sustainability and purpose-driven retail.
